Funeral services for Randy Roberts will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home with Pastor David Jordan officiating. A private family graveside will be held at a later time. Services are under the direction of the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Family of Athens.
Mr. Roberts went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 14, 2016.
Randall Keith Roberts was born on December 12, 1951 in Grand Saline, Texas, son of Artist Hulon Roberts and Lillie Mae Roberts. He graduated from MacArthur High School in Irving, loved coaching his daughters in softball, and coaching his grandson in Mabank Little League Football. He was a longtime owner of Creative Graphics Screen Printing and attended Life Fellowship in Athens. Randy was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, sit on the front porch with his wife, play with his grandsons, and most of all spend time with his family and friends. Papa was a great family man and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother; his father; and stepfather Clifford Roberts.
He is survived by his wife Heidi Roberts of Athens; children, Jamie Lynn Rogers and husband Joseph of Mabank, and Lacie Nicole Roberts and fiancé John Arzola of Kyle; brother Wayne Roberts and wife Debbie of Mineola; nephew Daniel Roberts and wife Carolyn of Mansfield; niece Mandy Roberts Miller and husband Nathan of Mineola; and grandchildren, Jayden Keith Rogers and Jordan Jett Rogers; and many close friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will include Nathan Miller, Wayne Roberts, John Arzola, Daniel Roberts, and Joseph Rogers.
