Obituary: Peggy Jean Hall

Peggy Jean Hall, 73, of Athens passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 29, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Nashville, AR, on June 6, 1945, to the late Luther and Berna Dean Ray. She married the late George Wayne Hall on February 27, 1965.

Preceded in death by Husband George Hall, her parents Luther & Berna Dean Ray, brother James Ray and her sister Shirley Stanley. Peggy is survived by six daughters, Jane Ciesla of Tampa FL, Sandy Harrington and husband Mike of Ocean Springs, MS, Charlotte Holt, Robin Hall, Debbie Hancock of Athens, TX, Lulu Hoen of Nashville, AR and husband Joe; two sons Micheal Prichard and wife Lynnette of Athens, and Gary Hall and wife Amy of Hilltop Lakes, TX.

Peggy was a loving Mother of 8 children, Grandmother of 17, Great Grandmother 12 and a MeMaw to all who knew her.

She was admired by all those who knew her – a woman of integrity, undying family loyalty. Her life truly was an example for others to follow in just about every way possible. We are forever blessed for having known her, and we are beyond lucky to have called her our own. Peggy wanted nothing more than to do her best at home, and in life; to be loved by her family and friends. She deeply loved and cared for them as well. Those of us who knew her, can say without hesitation that she accomplished ALL that and MORE. We will love and miss her forever.

The family invites you to join them in a visitation for Peggy, on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel.
