Linda Harsey, 70, died Dec. 24, 2017 in Malakoff. She was born Jan. 8, 1947 in Houston to William “Bill” and Ruby Barrett.
She was a teacher for 21 years in the Eustace Independent School District.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
She is survived by her daughters, Tara Stewart of Oregon, and Cheryl (Rory Jr.) Chambers of Murchison; her sister, Tricia (Michael) Miller of Illinois; her brother, Steve (Debbie) Barrett of Kingwood; her grandchildren, Bryan Rainer and Rory Chambers III; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 29, at Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 30, at 10 a.m. at the Living for the Brand Cowboy Church in Athens, with Michael Miller officiating. Burial will follow.
Pallbearers will be Jason Kibler, Billy Dickens, Steven Barrett, Brad Markwood and C.J. Maher.
