Services for Glenda Sue Crowell, 61, of Athens, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Eubank Chapel with Bro. Don Rogers, officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
Burial will be in Tarver Cemetery, Van Zandt County.
She passed away May 15, 2013 in Athens.
Mrs. Crowell was born Sept. 20, 1951 in Dallas to Eugene Horace Lewis, Sr. and Videll Bowers Lewis.
Glenda Grew up in Dallas. She was a member of the Eastern Hills Church of Christ. Glenda was a CNA for over 30 years and she enjoyed her job and loved her patients. She was a very loyal and devoted Christian. Glenda was a very joyful person who always had a smile on her face. She loved children and treated them as her own.
Surviving are husband of 38 years, Danny Crowell of Athens; sister, Nancy Wheeler of Athens; brother, Gene Lewis, Jr. of Athens; mother, Videll Lewis of Athens; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, mother-in-law, Lula Nell Ballow of Athens.
Glenda was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Horace Lewis, Sr.; son, Scotty Ray Crowell; brother, John Olen Lewis.
Family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
