On Feb. 2, 2013, Heaven welcomed Elizabeth “Betty” Woolverton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Betty was born in North Bay, Ontario, Canada, on Aug. 26, 1944, to Alice and Harold Briscoe. She married the love of her life, Jeff Woolverton, on April 11, 1987. She was very proud to have been the first female member of the Terrell Kiwanis Club. She loved spending time with Jeff, her children, grandchildren and many friends. She is survived by many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Carolyn Palmer Deyoe, whom we know is now dancing by her side in Heaven.

The family would like to thank all of Betty’s family and friends for their love and support through this long journey. We couldn’t have made it through without you. A special thank you to Dr. Carolyn Matthews at Baylor University for her continuous support, and affection, for our beloved mother.
