Funeral services for Carolyn Rogers are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens with Brother Jim Lang. Interment will follow at Rome Cemetery in Athens, Texas.
Carolyn Maxine Rogers passed on June 18, 2018 in Athens, Texas.
Mrs. Rogers was born October 30, 1953 the daughter of James Clifford Morgan and Ruby Hailey Morgan. She was the head of Human Resources for A+ charter schools but first she was a great mother and grandmother. On her free time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting and cooking. Grandma Carolyn loved her grandbabies and treasured spending time with them. She was a kind, giving, loving woman who will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her father James Clifford Morgan and her husband Bobby Joe Rogers.
Carolyn was survived by her mother Ruby Morgan of Kaufman; three children, David Hodges and wife Jackie of Kaufman, Bobby Rogers of Athens, Tina Rogers of Athens; one brother Paul Morgan and wife Cathy of Kaufman; one sister Patty Baker of Mesquite; eight grandchildren, Zachary Hallmark and wife Kim, Courtney Rogers, Brennan Rogers, Maci Hodges, Baileigh Rogers, Zoe Rogers, Sadi Hodges; three great-grandchildren Braxton, Aubrey, Owen and one on the way.
Visitation will be held Monday June 25, 2018 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens from 6-8 p.m.
