Obituary: Carl Morris

Funeral Services for Carl Morris of Tool are scheduled for 11:00 a.m Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home with Pastors Paul Hurley and Jonathan Lilley officiating. Interment will follow at a later date at the Houston National Cemetery.

Carl Morris passed away on August 6, 2018 in Malakoff, Texas.

Carl Everett Morris was born January 9, 1942 in Lubbock, Texas the son of William Everett Morris and Vesta Richardson Morris. He was a member of the Tool Praise and Worship Church. He was a truck driver for most of his life. Carl was an auctioneer who also enjoyed fishing and doing yard work. He was a great man who loved to help others and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Everett Morris and Vesta Morris; two wives Edna Giles Morris and Jeaniene Martin Morris; one son Samuel Paul Pearson and one brother Marvin Hawkins.

Carl Morris is survived by ten children, Tammy Richardson of San Antonio, Johnny Pearson and wife Ellen of Arizona, Katherine Miller and husband Bob of Arizona, Dinah Jones and husband James of Pasadena, Texas, Larry Pearson and wife Francine of Arizona, Jerry Pearson and wife Bonnie of Arizona, Tommy Pearson and wife Jeanie of Arizona, David Pearson and wife Debra of Pasadena, Texas, Tony Pearson of Arizona, Spencer Morris of Eustace; one sister Mildred Ware; forty grandchildren; fifty three great-grandchildren; eighteen great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; and many members of his extended family including Terease Hill, Robert Martin, Audra and Steve Pyle.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home from 9:00-11:00 a.m.
