Services for Brenda Kay Howell, 66, of Malakoff, Texas, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2014 at Eubank Funeral Chapel with Bro. Charlie Woodard officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton, Texas.
She passed away Oct. 21, 2014 in Malakoff.
Mrs. Howell was born Aug. 6, 1948 in Dallas to Lester and Annie Laurie Norrell Nabors.
Brenda grew up in Mabank and worked as a seamstress for most of her life. She loved fishing, gardening and working outside. She was a member of The Lighhouse Baptist Church. Brenda was a loving mother and caring grandmother.
Surviving are daughter, Trisha Nix of Malakoff; step-daughter, Sheila and Barry Carter of Mabank; grandson, James Carline of Malakoff; grandson, Bradley Carter of Mabank; grandson, Brandon Carter of Mabank; brother, Boyce Nabors of Wills Point.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Earl Howell; sister, Glenda Mae Thrasher; sister, Mary Ella Cope.
Pallbearers are Thomas Cole, Lloyd Thrasher, Julius Loosier, Justin Loosier, Jimmy Foster, James Carline.
Honorary pallbearers are James Carline, Bradley Carter, Brandon Carter.
Family will receive friends Thursday 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
