Obituary: Ben ‘Buck’ Crocker

Mr. Crocker passed away May 19, 2015 in Chandler.

He was born March 17, 1925 in Kerens to Benjamin Franklin and Lela Myrtle Crowley Crocker. Ben had been a resident of the Malakoff and Athens area since 1980. He retired from the United States Air Force after serving 26 years. He held many different positions with different companies in the area. Ben retired again from East Texas Medical Center-Athens after many years of service then volunteering with the ETMC Auxiliary accumulating 3700 hours of service.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Jennie Helen Crocker, second wife Ada Dean Crocker, five brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his sons Robert Crocker and wife Linda of Chandler, Michael Crocker and wife Mari of Portland, Oregon, daughter Helen Stauffer and husband Bob, Mahomet, Illinois, five grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a brother Owen Crocker and wife Elma Lea, Caddo Mills and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 1402 Rice Road, Suite 100, Tyler, Texas 75703.
