Obituary: Andy Kinabrew

Funeral services for Andy Kinabrew of Malakoff are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Malakoff with Bro. Frank Upchurch and Bro. Gene Bishop officiating. Interment will follow at Post Oak Cemetery in Malakoff.

Andy Kinabrew passed away July 30, 2018 in Athens, Texas.

Andy Lee Kinabrew was born April 19, 1972 in Tyler, Texas the son of Robbie Leo Kinabrew and Judy Baker Kinabrew Graham. He was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church and attended Shady Oaks Baptist Church. He worked for Iron Horse Unlimited as an operator and foreman and then went to work for Henderson County Precinct 1 as a foreman. “Homebrew” loved riding his Harley, hanging out with his friends and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a huge heart and was loved by all.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robbie Kinabrew; his paternal grandparents, Vernon Leo and Lola Faye Kinabrew and maternal grandparents, James M and Nita Faye Baker.

Andy is survived by his partner Dana Smith of Malakoff; his mother Judy Graham and husband Kenneth of Murchison ; three children, Adrianne Lee Kinabrew of Athens, Payton Smith of Malakoff, Katelyn Smith of Malakoff; one sister Wendy Spivey and husband Jeff of Malakoff; three nieces, Sara, Claire and Tori Spivey and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Thursday August 2, 2018 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers: Payton Smith, Joey Paup, Michael Crabtree, Rickey Baker, Chris Martin, Josh Baker, Ronnie Crabtree, Timmy Williams, Harvey Walker, and James Lookabaugh.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Hayes and the Precinct 1 Employees, Phillip Spivey, Jimmy Stone, Jackie McGee, Ricky Hernandez, Randy Miller, Joe Martinez, JJ Martinez and Mike Kitchens.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Breast Cancer Research.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.

  1. Billie Gibbs and Gene Dodd will miss Andy, he was a great friend that we enjoyed spending time with. Dana we are sorry for your loss, may God be with the family.
