Malakoff ISD raises over $2,700 for Dickinson ISD

Statement from Malakoff ISD re: helping Dickinson ISD:

Malakoff ISD administrators wanted to help our fellow Texans that lived through Hurricane Harvey. The district decided to partner with another district in the affected areas. We wanted our students to have the opportunity to help others in need. We chose Dickinson ISD. Both Malakoff Elementary and Tool Elementary held spare change donations. Malakoff Middle School held a dance. Malakoff High School held a pie in the face competition with the largest donation designating which staff member would get the pie in the face. Asst. Principal and Band Director Chad Bentley won that honor.

In all, our students and staff raised a total of $2,706.25 for their fellow students in Dickinson ISD. The funds were sent to the Dickinson ISD Education Foundation’s Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.
