Keith Bell announces bid for State House District 4 seat

Conservative rancher and businessman Keith Bell  announced his campaign to seek the Republican nomination for Texas State House District 4, encompassing Kaufman and part of Henderson counties.

“We need strong conservative leadership with a record of success, committed to growth and conservative values,” Bell said. “I am pro-Second Amendment, and pro-life. As a business owner, I’ve fought against government bureaucracy, created jobs, made payroll, and balanced budgets. I will bring results as your state representative.”

A graduate of Dallas Baptist University and Mesquite High School, Bell has served on the board of the Forney ISD for 20 years and is the current president. He has fought for changes in our education system and believes that a skilled and educated workforce is vital for the future of our state. He is a founder and past-President of the Forney Education Leadership Foundation, past-President of the Mesquite Lions Club, and serves on the Board of the Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Sunnyvale.

Bell owns and operates a cattle ranch in Hiram, Texas. He is a member of the Southwest Cattle Raisers Association and the Texas Farm Bureau. Bell founded Intex Electrical Contractors, Inc. in 1983 and has grown the company to 225 employees.

He is a member of both the Texas State Rifle Association and the National Rifle Association.

Bell and his wife, Annette, have been married for 34 years. They attend the First Baptist Church of Forney where he serves as a deacon. They have two grown daughters and four grandchildren.
