– Coaches were happy with the way the Tigers played in their opening win over Mildred last week, 63-19. — “For the most part, the effort was great. We were very, very pleased with the kids’ effort and we executed pretty good offensively for the first week.”

– Coach liked the way his defense played. — “Other than tackling, we were very, very pleased defensively. We missed some tackles, hopefully that’s early in the season type stuff that they just get better at.”

– Daingerfield is going to be a real test for the Tigers — “(They are) an extremely talented group. It’ll be a good measuring point for where we are for this season so far.”
