Grand Marshal named for Brownsboro Pioneer Day Parade; Vendors sought

The Brownsboro Pioneer Days Festival is proud to announce the Parade Marshal as Tim Brown. Brown is the great-great-great-grandson of John “Red” Brown who founded Brownsboro and was a pioneer in the founding of Henderson County. Red Brown and his wife, Athens, moved to Texas from Alabama and owned 640 acres in the Brownsboro area.

Tim is thrilled to represent his roots. Brown has supported the community and has attended Brownsboro football game. Tim’s family lineage includes a teacher, a judge, a Confederate Captain and a Speaker of the House for the State of Texas.

The parade will kick off the fun on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 9:30 a.m. Parade entries will begin lining up at 8:45 a.m. at the Brownsboro City Park along Stuart Street. The parade route will end at the Brownsboro High School parking lot.

This is the 5th annual Pioneer Days. The event will take place at the Brownsboro High & Jr High School properties. For vendor or schedule information visit brownsboro.us.

VENDORS WANTED

Join the fun of the Brownsboro Pioneer Days on Saturday, Nov. 10. Vendors are currently being accepted for the 5th annual event. Food, specialty items, and commercial vendors have already signed up. The event is returning to celebrate Brownsboro’s community and roots. Vendor applications may be downloaded from www.Brownsboro.us. Every year the event has grown in activities, events, and attendance.

All activities will take place on the Brownsboro High & Jr High School properties. Brownsboro is the oldest city in Henderson County and is proud of its rich history. The Brownsboro Chamber of Commerce works hard to spotlight the City’s heritage but to also host an event that the community can enjoy.

Booth rentals run from $50 to $75. The standard size booth is 12×12 with or without electricity. Booth set up will begin on Friday, Nov. 9, starting at 5 p.m. or Saturday morning starting at 8 a.m.
