GBC Man Arrested on Methamphetamine Charge

On Tuesday, Oct. 21, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigator Wick Gabbard obtained a narcotics search warrant for the residence located at 110 Red Bun in Gun Barrel City. The search warrant was issued by Henderson County Justice of the Peace Milton Adams and authorized the search of the residence for methamphetamine.

Investigators Wick Gabbard, Kay Langford, Kendell Wellman, Deputy Brad Beddingfield, Sheriff Ray Nutt, Chief Deputy Botie Hillhouse, Captain Bryan Tower, Lt. Charlie Severn, Gun Barrel Police Chief Damon Boswell and Detective Monte Mansfield and the Henderson County Sheriff’s Tactical Team executed the search warrant at approximately 3 p.m.

Investigators seized a quantity methamphetamine and approximately $3,370 at the residence. The suspected narcotics will be submitted to the DPS Crime Lab for analysis.

John George DeSanto charged with Manfaeture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance over 4 but under 200 grams which is a first degree felony punishable by 5 to 99 years or life in TDCJ and up to a $10,000 fine.

Bond was set at $15,000 set by Henderson County Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Randy Daniel.
