Family Peace Project Teen Dating Violence PSA Video Contest

Press release

The Family Peace Project is hosting its 2nd Annual Love is Not Abuse Teen Dating Violence PSA Video Contest.

Help prevent teen dating violence in your community by developing your own video public service announcement! Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three videos.

Did you know 1 in 4 women and nearly 1 in 7 men, who have experienced rape, physical violence and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime, experienced some form of intimate partner violence for the first time between 11 and 17 years of age?

Let’s educate and hopefully prevent violence before it starts. Create a video to raise awareness about teen dating violence and the importance of respect. This contest is your opportunity to be creative and informative in highlighting and portraying healthy teen relationships.

Participants must create and submit a YouTube link to a 60-90 second video focusing on preventing teen dating violence. All entries must be submitted by February 18. The top 5 videos will be chosen by the number of likes it gets on the FPP Facebook page. From those five videos, the judging committee will select the Top 3 and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony. Don’t miss out on your chance to win cash!

We received some great entries last year. Looking forward to seeing what the kids come up with. The Love is Not Abuse explainer video will be on the website next Friday. Will send to you once I’m finished with it.
