Early morning raids lead to drug arrests

Two early morning drug raids by Sheriff Botie Hillhouse’s team ended with a woman caught with cocaine and a man with methamphetamines in jail.

Taylor Lynn McCommas, 24, of Gun Barrel City was arrested during the execution of a search warrant.

She was in a residence in the 100 block of Stillwater in her hometown when Deputies descended on the home at 12:20 a.m.

Narcotics Investigators Kenneth Slaton, Wayne Nutt, Damon Boswell and Gabriel Shue discovered cocaine and over a pound of suspected marijuana.

She faces felony charges for possession of the contraband.

Later Friday morning, the drug-interdiction team raided a travel trailer on Old Goshen Road in Eustace.

There, they found Martin Elvis Riddle, 60, of Eustace in possession of suspected methamphetamines.

Sheriff Hillhouse’s team on both warrants signed by 392nd District Judge Scott McKee included Investigator Robert Powers, Deputy David Robertson with his K-9 Officer Kahn and Deputies Deputy Matt Jistel and Eduardo Gonzales.
