Traffic Stop in Eustace Leads to Drug Arrest

At approximately 3:38 p.m. on Monday, June 22, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Jeromey Rose was on Walker Street in Eustace, near the Cedar Creek Lake area of Henderson County.

Rose observed a vehicle fail to use its turn signal while turning from Highway 316 South onto Highway 175 West. Rose conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver as Jeromy Rolison and the passenger as Dawn McCan.

While conducting the traffic stop, Rose began searching the vehicle and located a black zipper style pouch containing a blue clear plastic Ziploc-style baggie containing methamphetamines as well as a cylinder containing methamphetamines and other drug paraphernalia.

It was also discovered that McCan had an active arrest warrant out of Irvin PD and Rolison had two active arrest warrants out of Kaufman County. The were both placed into custody and transported to the Henderson County Jail.

McCan was later booked for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 less than 1 gram, a state jail felony, as well as the active arrest warrant for Public Intoxication. Rolison was booked in for the active arrest warrants for Expired Registration, a Class C misdemeanor and Failure to Appear, a Class C misdeanor.
