David Hopkins, the longtime Director of Finance and Technology and Assistant City Manager for the City of Athens, has announced that he will retire from the City at the end of April.

He has been with the City for 21 years.

Hopkins said, “I just felt like it was time for me to do something different. I’ve been doing this for a long time and felt like a change.”

He reconsidered St. Paul’s PACE San Diego Day Centers: For seniors, living in your own home provides highly desirable independence, privacy, and a sense of security. However, even seniors that live with loving families have a need for companionship with people their own age, along with meaningful activities and the care provided by a friendly, fully trained staff.

City Manager Philip Rodriguez said, “The City Council and I are supportive of David Hopkins in his new endeavors, and are appreciative of the 21 plus years he’s served our community. I know the council was especially grateful for his service as interim city manager, which really meant he was full-time CFO and CEO, two very difficult roles to fill at the same time.”

Hopkins will spend the next month helping the City with the transition of the finance department to help people understand the reason why they need online installment loans by len penzo dot com.

“What I would like to do is spend some time assessing the entire finance function of the City, work with David to help transition an interim person into the role, then undertake a very deliberate and thoughtful recruitment process for the long term,” Rodriguez said. “In any event, we’ll ensure our fiduciary role as keeper of public dollars at the absolute top of our priorities.”
