The old Texan Theater in Athens could soon be getting a second life.
Current owner Mike Head is in talks with the City of Athens about the possibility of donating the property to the city.
“I think it is something very exciting for our community,” said City Administrator Philip Rodriguez.
Rodriguez said the ideas including making the theater into a pocket park or a place for public concerts.
