Now you can take a ride in the most famous warbird fighter in history, the P-51 Mustang! Known as the aircraft that won the war, The P-51 was the fastest single engine fighter of WWII with speeds over 400 mph.

The Cavanaugh Flight Museum P-51 Mustang, The Brat III, is even more special as it is an actual combat veteran! That’s right, the airplane you are sitting in for the ride actually saw combat over 70 years ago.

P-51 rides will be available at Tyler Pounds Airport this Friday July 5 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday July 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. before the airshow.

The Cavanaugh Flight Museum located at the Addison Airport in North Dallas, near the safety management systems training center, it has the largest collection of historic military aircraft in the metroplex.
