Obituary: Lynda Lou Seibt Craig

Graveside services for Lynda Lou Seibt Craig, 76, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Athens under the direction of Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.

Lynda passed away Saturday in Terrell.

She was born in Lufkin, Texas, on July 3, 1941, to the late Virgil Gustaf and Winnie Loretta Seibt and moved to Athens where she spent her childhood years. She moved to Dallas shortly after graduating high school to pursue life in the city. She had a knack for numbers and an interest in real estate both of which became passions for her in her professional life. She spent her work years in banking, real estate and mortgage lending all while providing for her two children as a single mom. For all the challenges she encountered during those years what remained constant with Lynda was her positive attitude and her ability to be a survivor no matter the circumstances, which served as a wonderful role model to all those she influenced. She loved music and loved to dance and brought the sweetest demeanor to all that she did. Lynda was strong-willed, loving and generous and was a loyal friend to many. She taught us all that it is ok to have dessert before dinner and that we all need some sugar (kisses for Grandma) before bedtime. We all will miss her genuine, loving smile and upbeat nature.
