Obituary: Dennis Ralph Womack

Dennis Ralph Womack, 60, of Eustace, was born on Oct. 3, 1952 in Weatherford to the home of Thomas Womack and Sonja Maria Meike Womack. He passed at his home on Feb. 7, 2013.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Marilou Syler Womack; children Chisum Womack and wife Erin, Forrest Womack and wife Jenny, Crockett Womack and wife Rachel, Stuart Womack and Seguin Womack; brother Jeffrey “Jeff” Womack and wife Iko; grandchildren Ann Womack, Rivers Womack, Nolan Womack and Augustine Womack.

Rosary services will be held at 8 pm on Friday, Feb. 15, at Moorhead Epps Memorial Chapel in Gun Barrel City. Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 16, 2013 at Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Malakoff, with burial following at Mary Queen of Heaven Cemetery under the direction of Moorhead Epps Funeral Home.

Obituary: Lewis Earl Gray

Services for Lewis Earl Gray, 87, of Mabank, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday. Feb. 12, 2013 at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Roberson and Bro. Ronnie Daniell officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.

Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mabank.

He passed away Feb. 8, 2013 in Canton, Texas.

Mr. Gray was born Sept. 24, 1925 in Scott, Texas, to Thomas Eugene and Ruby Marguerite Cannefax Gray.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Canton.

Surviving are daughter, Nancy and Sam DuBose of Mabank; son, Thomas Earl & Jane Gray of Plano; daughter, Barbara Gail and Gerald Linnenkugel of Mabank; granddaughter, Angela DuBose of Mabank; granddaughter, Jana and Steven Taylor of Ben Wheeler; grandson, Thomas Earl and Julie Gray of Plano; granddaughter, Melissa Gray of Garland; great-grandchildren, Joeylynn Gray, Landon Hilario, Samantha Taylor, Julianna Taylor, Kennedy Hilario, Brother, Joel and Elizabeth Gray of Mabank; brother, Kenneth and Margaret Gray of Payson, Ark.; sister, Wynonia and the late Kenneth Brewer of Mabank.

Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; wife Aileen Gray; three infant sons; brother, Ralph Gray.

Pallbearers are Angela DuBose, Jana Taylor, Steve Taylor, Thomas Gray, Julie Gray, Melissa Gray, and John Hilario.

Family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Larry Kenneth Gideon, 72, of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at Fellowship Baptist Church of Athens with Mike Dean and C.O. Jackson, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Rome Cemetery. He passed away Monday evening in Tyler, Texas.

Larry was born on March 18, 1940 in Athens to Lester Horace and Mattie Sue Hopson Gideon and was a lifelong resident of Henderson County. He attended school in Athens and was a member of the graduating class of 1958. He graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Henderson County Junior College in 1960 and also attended Stephen F. Austin University. He was united in marriage with Janet Trammell on Jan. 30, 1965.

Larry was employed in electrical and plumbing sales for his entire career and had worked for Texas Wholesale, National Supply and Spencer’s Hardware Store. He will be remembered as a tireless and honest man, with a great sense of humor, who provided well for his family. He loved to travel and spend time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a long time member of the Fellowship Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was known as a godly man whose Christian influence touched those around him, and there is peace and comfort knowing that he is with his Heavenly Father. He was a dearly loved husband, father, G-Pa, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Billy Mack Gideon.

Larry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janet Trammell Gideon of Athens; son Greg Gideon and wife Alisa of Rockwall; daughter Julie Holt and husband Kelly of Mabank; sister Barbara McCown and husband Steve of Spring; grandchildren Garrett Gideon, Abby Gideon, Cy Holt, and Case Holt.

Pallbearers include Bobby Cooper, Kelly Smith, Adron Neill, Doyle Trammell, Garrett Gideon and Kelly Holt.

The family will receive visitors at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9.

Obituary: Joyce Oleta Tracy

Joyce Oleta Tracy of Log Cabin, Texas passed away on Feb. 4, 2013 at the age of 83.

Joyce was born in Ojai, Calif. on Aug. 21, 1929 to Robert Carl and Willie M. Kent Willingham. She was an employee with Natural Light Plastic Product in Garland, Texas for 15 years.

She is survived by her three daughters, Sandra Kay and husband David Burnett, Tammy Tracy and Tamera Tracy; son David and wife Vickie Tracy; grandsons Shane David Burnett, Jeremy and wife Michelle Burnett, Cody Lee Tracy and Tate Ryan Thompson; granddaughter Christi Farley; great-granddaughter Kalie Burnett; great-grandson Dylan Burnett; great-niece Amanda Tanner; niece Sharon Byler; sister Erma Morris; step children Kelly, Scott, Terry and Jerry Kraklow.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Willie Willingham; brother Haskell Kent Willingham.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 at Huckabee/Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff. Service are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at Caney Creek Baptist Church in Log Cabin.

Obituary: Ann Keys

Services for Ann Keys, 88, of Cedar Creek Lake area are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow in Payne Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Keys died Feb. 1, 2013 in Fort Worth.

She was born Nov. 20, 1924 in Wayne City, North Carolina to Thadaus and Etta Faye Whitley Bailey. Ann was a member of Payne Springs United Methodist Church. She had been a charge nurse at South Place Nursing Center before leaving the area in 2003. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband Rufus Mack Keys on Jan. 4, 1995.

Survivors are brother Richard Moore and wife Carol, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews and a granddaughter of her heart, Ida Dalin Spangle and husband Charles and their children, Oklahoma.
