Services for John “Ike” Miller, 77, Athens were held 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013 at First Christian Church with Kern Railsback officiating. Burial followed in Athens Cemetery.

Mr. Miller died Thursday, June 6, 2013 in Athens.

He was born Oct. 5, 1935 in Athens to the late Hubert Harold and Cleo Odell Miller and was a resident of Athens all his life. John attended Athens High School. He retired from a 35 year tenure with Kelly Springfield in 1996 then retired as Director of Transportation for Athens Independent School District in 2010. He loved playing golf and going fishing. He was a lifetime member of First Christian Church.

John was preceded in death by brothers David Miller, Billy Raymond Miller and sister Peggy Stanford.

Mr. Boyce went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 7, 2013 in Athens.

Mary Elizabeth Creasy was born May 11, 1919 in Greenville, Texas the daughter of Henry Gordon Busby and Frances Matilda Newby Busby. Services for Gwen Trammell will be 1 p.m. Thursday June 6, 2013 at Huckabee/Tomlinson Funeral Home, Seven Points. Visitation will be 6-8  p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the funeral home.

Gwen was born in Seagoville, Oct. 29, 1931 to O C & Alma (Hazelip) Braddock. She died in Kaufman June 3, 2013.

Gwen retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 35 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She and her husband Buddy owned and operated B & G BBQ in Seven Points from 1988 to 2008.

Gwen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buddy; sister, Patsy Umfleet; grandson, Brian Keith Trammell.

She is survived by sons, Robert and wife Donna Trammell, Keith Trammell, brother, Julian and wife Lavone Braddock; grandchildren, Robert Shawn Trammell, Terry Lee Trammell, Holland Rice “Buddy”Trammell, Robert Sean Trammell, Ashley Nicole Trammell, Blaine Wade Trammell, Kalynn Trammell, Tyler Trammell, Trevor Trammell, Hunter Trammell, Telia Trammell Hughes, Brandon Blakenship. A very special niece, Rhonda Gwen Eicher.

Graveside services for Jamie Daniel Logan, 39, of Cross Roads are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Rome Cemetery with Bro. Gene Bishop and Bro. Frank Upchurch officiating.

Mr. Logan passed away due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, June 2, 2013 in Athens.

Jamie Daniel Logan was born May 20, 1974 in Athens, the son of James Alford Logan and Brenda Dean Trammell Logan. He was a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on cars, hunting and being outdoors. He loved his children and his family. He was a loving father, son and brother and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
