Obituary: Vonnie Joyce Whitt

Vonnie Joyce Whitt of Eustace passed away on July 7, 2013 in Tyler at the age of 75.

Vonnie was born on Aug. 31, 1937 in Alba, Texas to Joe and Oma Lawson Wright.

She is survived by one son, J. B. Whitt of Eustace; granddaughter, Nicole and husband Jacbo Horton; two great-grandchildren, Forrest Horton and Lyla Horton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Forrest Paul McNeel; sister Jo Boren; brother James Wright.

Memorial service is pending for a later date under the direction of Huckabee/Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff.

Clifford Howard Victry of Trinidad passed away on July 7, 2013 at the age of 76.

Clifford was born on Feb. 20, 1937 in Tulsa, Okla. to Marvin Howard and Grace Weiss Victry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years JoAnn Victry; two sons, Mark and wife Tracey Victry, Kyle Victry; four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Victry.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 11 a.m. to noon at Malakoff Church of Christ at 214 North Martin Street in Malakoff. Services will follow at noon.

Interment will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington at 1219 North Davis, 76012 with the Rev. Lavell Layfield officiating and under the direction of Huckabee/Tomlinson Funeral Home, Seven Points.

Obituary: Charles Cantrell

Charles Cantrell of Malakoff passed away at his home on July 4, 2013 at the age of 79.

Charles was born in Wortham on Oct. 5, 1933 to Gude and Jewell Cantrell.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jo and husband Norman Wilson and Cherlyn Cantrell; three sons, Charles and wife Margaret Cantrell, Keith and wife Becky Cantrell, David and wife Julie Cantrell; four brothers, Roy, Ben, Jerry, Danny Cantrell; three sisters, Betty Colson, Linda Herrington and Virgina Adair; 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Martha Cantrell.

Visitation was held on Sunday, July 7, at Huckabee/Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.

Service were held on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Huckabee/Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff. Interment followed at Post Oak Cemetery in Malakoff with Bro. Wayne Pitchford officiating.

Obituary: Amy Sue Poole

Funeral services for Amy Sue Poole, 47, of Brownsboro, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Chandler with Rev. Forest Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery under the entrusted and devoted care of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens.

Amy was born Aug. 31, 1965 to the late R.B. and Norma Jo Murphy Parmer. She married Roy Allen Poole Feb. 14, 1985.

Amy was a resident of Brownsboro since1969. She had attended Brownsboro High School. Amy loved to decorate and collect quarters, hearts and crosses. Amy had such a wonderful personality that you couldnt help but love her. She also loved people and animals. Amy would do anything for anyone; she was a loving and caring soul. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. Amy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Brownsboro.
