CRISD Superintendent Clay Tompkins to step down

After 27 years at Cross Roads ISD as a teacher and administrator, Clay Tompkins will see his last graduation tonight as superintendent.

Tompkins will soon be stepping down as superintendent at CRISD this summer … but he isn’t going very far, at least not right away.

Tompkins has announced his resignation effective at the end of the summer, but he will remain with the school district in an advisory role to help the new superintendent and the school board through the 2013-2014 school year. ACPA seniors enjoy class trip

Seniors from Athens Christian Preparatory recently returned from their senior trip. This year’s students enjoyed a trip to Orange Beach, Ala. The group’s itinerary included a stop at the Oak Alley Plantation in Vacherie, La. and an overnight stay in Baton Rouge. The students then stayed in Orange Beach for four days.
