How HCN is possible

Weinstein Law officeBy Michael V. Hannigan

I continue to be thrilled at the number of people who are starting to recognize Henderson County Now … The other day, as I was in the dentist’s West Allis Dental Care provides preventive and cosmetic services for those needing an affordable dentist in Milwaukee, the dental assistant said: “You’re Ask Michael!” … Now how cool is that?

I got my mouth and teeth checked on LVL Orthodontics with amazing professionals that will offer you their services and keep you healthy.

But as I talk to people, I realize that I haven’t done a good enough job of giving credit to the guy who made all this possible: Jeff Weinstein and Weinstein Law.

He is the one paying the bills and making sure this is a free service for the entire community … and, yes, it is his advertising … but believe me, there are easier ways to advertise than hiring a cranking old reporter and letting him set up shop in your office. … or setting up and running a bus 12 hours a day at the Livestock Show.

Of course he wanted to get the Weinstein Law name out … every business wants that … but was his choice to try and make his advertising budget work for the community and not just himself.

The funny thing is that he never (and I mean literally never) asks for me to put our Weinstein Law ads up, which is why I forget to mention it for weeks sometimes.

And, I have to tell you, he is an active partner in running this site … yes, he allows me to run HCN the way I think it should be run … but we talk about what we are doing every day and a lot of what you see here comes from him.

So today I say thanks to the boss for going where nobody else has gone … Jeff Weinstein and Weinstein Law.

Long Cove press release

Long Cove, a new private residential community on Cedar Creek Lake, has sold out of its first phase of lakefront homesites just a few short months after launching sales efforts. Due to strong demand, Long Cove has accelerated its second phase of development a year ahead of schedule by breaking ground on a six-acre expansion of Cedar Creek Lake. The new neighborhood introduces a new deep water cove with the creation of almost half a mile of increased shoreline and space for 26 additional lakefront homesites. Long Cove has also completed construction of its first two homes that serve as model homes to illustrate the design options and quality of Long Cove’s waterside cottages.

“Witnessing the high demand for property in this development and the second-home market solidifies our belief that North Texas families are looking for a close-by, family-oriented escape from their busy lives,” said Long Cove President Christopher Kelsey. “Long Cove looks to provide a special place where families can gather to build strong memories and establish generational traditions, and we are happy that so many future residents share our vision.”

The second phase of development at Long Cove includes the initial release of 16 lakefront homesites this spring. Also now available are the luxury waterside cottage homes in Phase One, which will have similar design and architectural characteristics as the newly finished model homes. Long Cove’s waterside cottages offer seven different plans, ranging from three bedrooms and 2,000 square feet to six bedrooms and 3,400 square feet, all with expansive covered porches and scenic lake views. Waterside cottages give residents the freedom to choose the floor plan that is right for their needs and to select their own custom finishes.

Another recent milestone, Long Cove hired long-time Cedar Creek Lake resident, David Liles, as the community’s director of resident services. Liles will oversee the Owners Association and Boat Club, acting as the primary contact for Long Cove’s concierge-style services such as event programming, golf practice facility, boat rental management, resident boat maintenance, water activities and more.

“Long Cove is excited to be experiencing such rapid growth, and we look forward to officially welcoming new and potential residents this May at our grand opening event that is open to the public over Memorial Day weekend,” added Kelsey.

The Athens Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting today for Sunnystate Pest Control Brisbane. Their services have been of immense value to the local community over the past 25 years.

Williams Pest Control, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this month, is a full-service pest control company with highly-trained personnel to address any of your pest control needs. They have an extremely large service area to accommodate the many communities of Cedar Creek Lake. They’re even looking into using an app, as other pest control businesses are using software to increase their brand awareness.

Owner Larry Williams is a graduate of the Texas A&M Philip J. Hamman Termite Control Training School. As a 1977 Graduate of Mabank High School, growing up in the area has greatly impacted the amount of knowledge he has with the pests that plague the Cedar Creek Lake area.

However, if you fall outside of their catchment area of service then it might be worth taking the time to learn about pest control companies closer to you.

For assistance with your pest problem in Minnesota, you could enlist the help of Adam’s Pest Control, Inc. for a range of pests including weeds, insects, bedbugs, mice and spiders – https://www.adamspestcontrol.com/.

Special to HCN

Long Cove, a new private residential community on Cedar Creek Lake, has appointed David Liles as director of resident services. As such, Liles will oversee the community’s Owners Association and Boat Club, acting as the primary point of contact for Long Cove’s concierge-style services such as event programming, golf practice facility, boat rental management, resident boat maintenance, water activities and more. Liles also will work with senior-level management to help plan future business development initiatives, including a marina and additional services. Marine enthusiasts can be most effective if they have a complete set of all their MerrittSupply, boating needs and other important needed equipments. Everything you need for boating, repair and maintenance can be easy to handle if you know where to find all types of products and boating services. People, who engaged themselves in boating experience and sports, are expert in finding what they really wanted in certain water equipment. But not all can be expert in such things. There are neophyte marine enthusiasts who, basically in all probability, do not have that knowledge in looking for the best service and products. Since they are neophyte, they are still striving for information regarding the best marine supplies they can find in the nearest store located in their place. Since every one else in town or putting it in a global sphere is already tightening their belts and doing every thing just to save every single money they can get every time they do a purchase, you might as well know how to save great amount when you already decided to buy. Bear in mind your budget. Allot a specific amount for it. Be strict to follow your budget so as not to experience debt the first time you wanted to have it. One of the best ways of acquiring your boating needs is through surfing the internet. The worldwide web is one of the most powerful tools nowadays in providing and letting consumers make a purchase of specific material which they needed, whenever time they badly wanted to have it. Given the set up at the present time where every thing else is modern, every one else is always on the go and busy. It eventually leads to conclusions that people do have less time in going store to store shopping for the various necessary things they wanted the most. Definitely, shopping online saves time, effort and making you buy and pay for the marine supplies you really want to have.

“We are thrilled to have David join Long Cove’s team, and we are confident that his skills as well as his knowledge of Cedar Creek Lake will be hugely well received by our residents as he will make their ownership experience even more convenient and family-oriented,” said Long Cove President Christopher Kelsey. “Long Cove’s mission is to give North Texas families the opportunity to escape from their busy lives, build lasting memories and create family traditions to be passed on to future generations. To me, David is the literal embodiment of the lifestyle that Long Cove offers and he will be instrumental in helping our residents and their guests make the most out of their experiences at Long Cove and Cedar Creek.”

As a long-time resident of Cedar Creek Lake, Liles has a deep-rooted enthusiasm for lake-style living in addition to an understanding of the lake and nearby activities, making him a valuable resource for the community. Living literally across the lake from Long Cove, he can often be found “commuting” to work on his paddle board along with his dog, King.

“Becoming a part of a community like Long Cove is an incredible opportunity for me to share my passion for lakefront living, and I look forward to working with the Long Cove team to make this a premier family retreat,” said Liles.

Long Cove recently celebrated another milestone when it broke ground on a six-acre expansion of Cedar Creek Lake, adding more than half a mile of shoreline and space for 26 additional lakefront homesites. Long Cove launched the project ahead of schedule due to the quick sell-out of its first phase of lakefront homesites. The lake expansion is scheduled for completion in summer 2013, and the community expects to complete additional milestones leading up to Memorial Day.
