It is almost here!

The 2014 Henderson County Livestock Show will get underway next Monday, April 7, and run through Saturday, April 12.

This year, there will be no entry fee for the Livestock Show thanks to some special sponsors. The HCLS Committee thank the following businesses for sponsoring the gate for the 2014 show:

MONDAY – APRIL 7

• 8:00 am…Set-Up Begins
• 5:30 pm…Crowning Ceremony for Queen and Princess. Pictures taken after the crowning. -Youth Horse Show Speed Events following the Crowning Ceremony. Pictures taken after the show.

TUESDAY – APRIL 8

• 8:00 am…Youth Horse Show – Judged Events. Pictures taken after the show. Yearling Horse Show – Following Horse Show. Pictures taken after the show.
• 8:00 am… Breeding Swine may begin arriving.
• 4:00 pm… Breeding Swine must be on the grounds.
• 5:00 pm…Breeding Swine Show. Showmanship following show. Pictures taken after the show.
• 12:00 am…Breeding Swine which are not entered in the Market Swine Show must be off grounds.

WEDNESDAY – APRIL 9

• 7:00 am…Market Swine, Breeding Beef, Steers, Dairy Cattle, Market Lambs, Breeding Ewes, Market Goats, Breeding Goats, Breeding Poultry, Game Birds, Breeding Rabbits, and Shop Projects and out of county projects begin arriving.
• 9:00 am…Breeding Rabbits and Market Swine MUST be on grounds
• 10:00 am…Market Swine weigh-in begins.
• 10:00 am… Breeding Rabbit Show and Showmanship. Pictures taken after the show.
• 12:00 pm…Shop Projects, Market Lambs, Breeding Lambs, Market Goats, and Breeding Goats MUST be on the grounds
• 1:00 pm…Market Swine weigh-in ends
• 1:30 pm…Market Goat and Market Lamb weigh-in begins
• 2:00 pm… Shop Project Judging. Pictures taken after the show.
• 3:00 pm…Market Goat and Market Lamb weigh-in ends
• 4:00 pm…Project Show Non-Food Entries begin arriving
• 5:00 pm…Breeding Beef, Steers, Dairy Cattle, Breeding Poultry, and Game Birds MUST be on the grounds. All non-placing Breeding Rabbits must be removed from grounds.
• 6:00 pm…Market Steer weigh-in begins
• 7:00 pm…Project Show Non-Food Entries must be on the grounds
