Obituary: Stephanie Dee Himes

Stephanie Dee Himes,, 38, of Gun Barrel City, was born on March 23, 1975 in Denver, Colo. to the home of Tim Himes and Jackie Kennedy and passed away on July 27, 2013 at her home in Gun Barrel City surrounded by her family. 

She was preceded in death by grandparents Marvin Kennedy and Tena Mohler. 

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Brooks Warren; children Taylor Warren, Seth Himes and Logan Warren; parents Joe and Jackie Clark, father Tim Himes Sr.; brothers Brad Bynum and Tim Himes, Jr.; cousins Jason and Dustin Kennedy; grandmother Sadie Kennedy and grandfather C.A Mohler; uncle and aunt Donna and Glenn Kennedy; special aunts Stacy and Beverly and numerous other family and friends. 

Visitation will be at Moorhead Epps Funeral Home at 6-8 pm on July 31, 2013.

Obituary: Patricia ‘Pat’ Tidball

Visitation for Patricia “Pat” Tidball, 67, LaRue is scheduled for 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tidball died Sunday, July 28, 2013 in Tomball.

She was born July 4, 1946 in Powell to the late Arthur Eugene and Nellie Mea Green Poston. Mrs. Tidball had resided in Henderson County 40 years and was a resident of LaRue the past 14 years.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years Robert D. Tidball; son Steven Arthur Tidball, Palestine; daughters Susan Pfluger and husband Willie Lee, Buffalo, Jerri Lynn Bowen, Noonday; brothers John Poston, Blackfoot, Joe Poston, Kerens, Darrell Poston, Chapel Hill, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

Services for Jerry Hanson, 69, Athens are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013 in Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with Chase Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in Shelby Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Hanson died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at home.

He was born Nov. 29, 1943 in Clovis, New Mexico to the late Cornelius Birron and Margaret Louise Hadley Hanson and had been a resident of Athens most of his life. Following graduation from Athens High School in 1963 Jerry then attended Henderson County Junior College. He formerly worked for Jake Townley Men’s Wear about seven years, then later Joe Tarrant Oil Company from 1975 until 1988. After selling his company he worked for Trinity Valley Community College until 2009 as Director of Transportation. Steven L. Webster Of Gun Barrel City was born Sept. 5, 1942, in Richmond, Va., and passed away on July 25, 2013, at the age of 70.

Webster served in the United States Army as a First Lieutenant in 1966 – 1968. Steven graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Business degree in Business Administration, and earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans. He has worked for textile manufacturer Burlington Industries, floor products distributor L.D. Brinkman Corp. and software provider UCCEL. Webster has served as president of North Texas Roofing Contractors of Texas and belongs to regional and national trade associations and various chambers of commerce.
